A record number of seniors — 46 million to be exact — reside in the U.S. today. Adults ages 65 and older account for 15 percent of the overall population, and the U.S. Census Bureau projects that number will increase to 22 percent by 2050. The senior living industry is booming, and the need for more housing will only grow with the influx of Baby Boomers who will enter senior communities over the next three decades. And when they come, they will demand a new way of living to meet their active lifestyle and varied interests. McBroom Company offers a successful, efficient process for developing senior living communities from concept to completion, or redeveloping communities that need a refresh to stay competitive as the market evolves. Our expert team of partners — architects, designers, contractors, operators, marketers and other skilled professionals — will provide guidance throughout the process to ensure every detail is carefully considered.
In the late 1990s, Len McBroom developed the Senior Boutique Living concept, which came to fruition when McBroom Company developed and managed Concordia on the Lake, a 195-unit independent living community in Littleton, Colorado that opened in 2001, and The Avenues Crofton Park, a 55+ community of 70 apartments and 20 cottages located in Broomfield, Colorado that opened in 2014, and Clear Creek Commons, a 50-unit 55+ mixed use community in downtown Golden, Colorado. Through the Senior Boutique Living concept, McBroom Company is dedicated to building communities where seniors can enjoy remarkable apartment homes and cottages to pursue their unique and very personal definition of a happy life. Key principles of Senior Boutique Living include wellness, enrichment and celebration. McBroom Company is currently focused on growing the Senior Boutique Living model through expansion of The Avenues brand.
